Fabulous Fishballs Cat Recipe

3 baby carrots, cooked until soft
16 oz canned tuna in olive oil, drained
2 oz cooked herring, skin removed
2 tablespoon whole grain bread crumbs or oatmeal
2-3 tablespoon grated cheese
2 teaspoon brewer’s yeast
Several pinches of chopped catnip
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoon tomato paste (not ketchup)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Mash the carrots with the fish, bread crumbs or oatmeal, cheese, brewer’s yeast, catnip, egg and tomato paste to an even paste.

Mold into small balls and put on a greased baking tray.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, checking frequently: the fish balls should be golden brown and feel firm.

Cool thoroughly.

Emergency Kitten Milk Recipe

12 oz. boiling water
1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatin
Dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, and add:
1-12 oz. can evaporated canned milk
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 egg yolk

Mix well in mixer.

Place in covered bowl and store in refrigerator.

Warm a small amount for feedings.

This will keep for about 7 days.
